Randstad Senior Finance is partnering with a leading Aged Care organisation situated in Melbourne’s inner suburbs. This provider is currently navigating a significant period of business transformation, and we require a high-energy, technically proficient Senior Accountant to support the finance function during this pivotal six-month window.

This is far from a standard "business as usual" role. We are looking for a proactive self-starter—someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and take on a wide variety of tasks that go beyond traditional ledger management. If you are a go-getter who thrives on making an impact during times of change, this is the opportunity for you.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be a key driver in ensuring financial integrity and process evolution. Your work will directly support the organisation's ability to adapt to new sector standards and internal structural changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on assistance with the implementation of new financial frameworks and reporting tools to align with recent sector reforms.

  • Manage the month-end close, statutory reporting, and intricate reconciliations for a diverse portfolio of facilities.

  • Ensure all financial activities are specialised to meet Aged Care regulatory requirements, including AN-ACC funding models and prudential compliance.

  • Take ownership of ad-hoc projects, ranging from audit preparation and "clean-up" tasks to process mapping and workflow automation.

  • Act as a commercial point of contact for Facility Managers, helping them to analyse and understand their budgets during this transitional phase.

  • Identify inefficiencies in current financial processes and take the initiative to implement more robust, scalable solutions.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

We are seeking a candidate with a strong work ethic who does not require constant supervision to deliver high-quality results.

  • Previous experience within the Aged Care or Healthcare sector is essential. You must have a solid grasp of the unique funding and compliance landscape.

  • You are CA or CPA qualified with a pedigree in technical accounting.

  • You are a recognised "self-starter" with a resilient, "can-do" attitude. You enjoy variety and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift rapidly.

  • Advanced Excel skills (modelling and data manipulation) are required. Experience with industry-specific software or large-scale ERPs is highly regarded.

  • Strong interpersonal skills are vital for engaging with stakeholders across the organisation during a period of change.

How to Apply

If you are a motivated finance professional with the required Aged Care experience and a drive to excel in a transformative environment, we want to hear from you. Please apply directly or email Charli Crouch at: charlotte.crouch@randstad.com.au with your updated CV (must be immediately available).
